2018: Cruising the Galapagos on the Coral I/II - 4-Night cruise (ISJ)

8 days from Quito to Guayaquil

In 1535, the Galapagos Islands were discovered by a Dominican friar. Now, YOU can discover these islands too, on an unforgettable vacation. Mingle with species of unique birds only found here, swim with sea lions, observe the land and marine iguanas, and if you're lucky, spot a Green Pacific sea turtle! We take care of the hassles for you, from your hotel and cruise accommodations, to sightseeing and most meals. We even set you up with a Local Host and Naturalist to help meet your needs during your stay, so that all you have to do is remember to pack your snorkel!

Your vacation begins in Quito, where your Local Host will greet you and help acquaint you with the city. The next morning, after an included breakfast, you will head out on a private tour to explore the city, rich with history and marked by the legacy that the Incas and Spaniards left behind. See Independence Square, the cathedral, and San Francisco Plaza Church. Enjoy an afternoon of leisure before packing your bags and heading off to the Galapagos the next morning.

You will embark on a 4-night cruise around the gorgeous and one-of-a-kind Galapagos Islands. For this leg of your adventure, all meals are included. You will visit San Cristobal Island, where you will visit a tortoise reserve to learn about the giant tortoises native to these islands. You will also have the chance to snorkel with sea lions and admire the many species of migratory birds and all three types of boobies: blue-footed, red-footed, and Nazca! Then, it's off to Espanola Island, where you'll explore ancient volcanic formations, hike to the nesting grounds of Nazca and blue-footed boobies, and see the world's largest colony of waved albatross. On Floreana Island, cruise around by dinghy in search of penguins, turtles, dolphins, and sharks! And don't miss a second chance to snorkel with the unique sea life of the Galapagos Islands.

So grab your swimsuit and say 'adios' to the stresses of planning your own vacation. With Monograms, your trip to the Galapagos Islands is as stress free and fabulous as you dreamed it would be!
